The baseball player that crashed into the new York apartment building crashed on the 13th.But the news of the crash was released on the wire service on the 12th.

Then somebody phoned the information through to the news service or faxed it prior to the accident.
This is what proof of time travel really is proof that information can go from the future to the past.
And from the past to the future.
Which is clearly possible but reversing it requires a particularly evil mind.
And Doc doesn't seem bad but in the sequal Back to The Future 6# there is an evil Doc Brown that is his evil twin.
And he wants to use the time machine to profit by it.
